How do I register my account?
Registering your account is simple. You will need your email address or phone number associated with your NRG account, the type of account you have (electricity, gas, or both), and your utility account number. Click on the link to register your account here.
What information can I access with my account?
You can access information about your NRG account, such as pricing, usage history, plan expiration date, rewards details, and more.
Can I make changes to my account online?
Not at this time. Your online account allows you to easily access important information about your service with NRG. To make changes to your account, please contact customer service.
How do I reset my password?
To reset your password if you are unable to log in, click “Forgot password?” on the login page. Enter your email address and then follow the link in the email you receive.
If you are able to log in, but want to change your password, go to the Profile Settings tab in your My NRG account. Next to the password, click “Edit.”
What if I have multiple accounts with NRG?
If you have multiple accounts, you can add all of your services to your My NRG online account. Go to the Profile Settings tab on your account and click “Manage” under “Add or remove account.” Then click “Add a new service account.” You will need the phone number or email address associated with the account and the utility account number for that service. Once you have added your additional services, you’ll be able to switch between them to view rewards and usage data by clicking “Manage” and then “View” next to the account you would like to view.
What happens if I delete an account from the Manage Account page?
Deleting an account only removes it from your My NRG online account. The account will still be active, and you can restore online access by clicking “Add new service account.” If you would like to cancel an account, you will need to call in to Customer Service. Call 1-844-460-0309, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET.
