About NRG Gives

Since 2016, the NRG Gives program has donated a total of $739,500 to 28 nonprofit organizations in the tri-state area in support of their ongoing efforts in the community. This year, we have chosen 5 organizations that will be awarded $20,000 each. Congratulations!

Young Audiences Arts for Learning NJ & Eastern PA

Founded in 1973, Young Audiences Arts for Learning NJ & Eastern PA is the premier arts-in-education resource in the region, providing teaching artist-led performances, workshops, residencies, and teacher professional learning programs to schools. A not-for-profit organization, Young Audiences’ mission is to inspire young people and expand their learning through the arts. Children are at the center of our work.

Best Buddies

Best Buddies is an organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, and inclusive living for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Peter's Place

Peter’s Place provides safe and supportive environments for grieving children and families, and acts as a community resource to foster understanding of the effects of death and grief. We serve families in the Philadelphia five-county area and are provided free of charge.

Project Sweet Peas

Project Sweet Peas' mission is to empower and support families of fragile infants, and to inspire hope through remembrance for those affected by pregnancy and infant loss. With the oversight and guidance of our Board of Directors, Division Coordinators and project volunteers who draw on their own personal experiences to mold their approach in supporting families experiencing these all too familiar traumatic events.

Simon's Heart

The vision of Simon’s Heart is a future in which parents and communities don’t lose children to detectable and treatable heart conditions. Simon's Heart was started for a seemingly healthy baby boy named Simon who died in his sleep from an undetected and treatable heart condition. In the 15 years since Simon’s Heart began, more than 18,000 hearts have been checked and 129+ lives have been saved.
