About NRG Gives
Since 2016, the NRG Gives program has donated a total of $839,500 to 33 nonprofit organizations in the tri-state area in support of their ongoing efforts in the community. This year, we have chosen 5 organizations that will be awarded $20,000 each. Congratulations!
Special Equestrians
Special Equestrians harnesses the healing power of horses to transform lives. Located in Warrington, Pennsylvania, this non-profit riding center has been providing a variety of equine-assisted services for individuals with physical, cognitive, behavioral or emotional disabilities since 1982 and serves more than 250 individuals and groups living in Bucks, Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties each year.
Anchor House
Anchor House has been providing a safe refuge for youth since our founding in 1978 to move homeless and runaway youth off the streets of Trenton. Our mission is to provide a safe haven where abused, runaway, homeless and at-risk youth and their families are empowered to succeed and thrive. We provide the only shelter, transitional living, street outreach program in Mercer County, and one of two supportive housing programs in the county for older youth.
Gift of Adoption
Gift of Adoption's mission is to provide adoption assistance grants to complete the adoptions of vulnerable children – giving them permanent families and a chance to thrive. Since 1996, Gift of Adoption has awarded more than $12.1 million to help complete the adoptions of 4,097 children.
Westmoreland Food Bank
The Westmoreland Food Bank works every day to ensure that all Westmoreland County residents who are hungry or at risk of hunger have ready access to food. The generous support of our community is what allows us to work towards our vision to end hunger.
Hearth
HEARTH is a warm place to find support, community with others and a place to call home because a safe place matters. We believe in housing first. A new home means a new start, the beginning of a life with safety, security and stability as a foundation. What grows from there is a restoration of dignity and hope for the future. Families and communities begin to thrive, bringing up a new generation of healthy, educated, and inspired leaders for their community.
