NRG Home SMS alerts provide important information about your account and services through text messages. These alerts may include updates related to your energy account or service, usage information, rewards, weather notifications, and other relevant messages. Some alerts are sent automatically, while others may be requested by you on demand.
Enrollment and Consent
Customers may choose to opt in to receive NRG Home service and account‑related text messages.
Participation in the SMS program requires that the individual enrolling is the account holder and that the mobile number provided is capable of receiving SMS text messages. Customers are responsible for notifying NRG Home of any changes to their mobile phone number to ensure account information remains accurate.
Message Frequency
The number of text messages you receive depends on the services associated with your account. Message frequency will vary.
Supported Wireless Carriers
NRG Home SMS alerts are supported by a wide range of U.S. wireless carriers, including major national providers and regional carriers. Participation may vary by carrier. T‑Mobile is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Fees and Charges
NRG Home does not charge a fee to receive SMS alerts. However, message and data rates may apply according to the terms of your wireless service plan with your carrier.
International Messaging
At this time, NRG Home SMS alerts are available only for mobile phone numbers within the United States. International phone numbers are not supported.
Opt‑Out Policy
You may unsubscribe from all NRG Home SMS alerts at any time by texting STOP to 250868. After opting out, you will receive a confirmation message indicating that you have been removed from the SMS program.
